Come experience the exhilaration of kayaking with orcas!

Picture yourself kayaking with orcas, their 6 foot dorsal fins rising out of the water meer metres from your kayak, the sheer size of their bodies only truly comprehensible close up. Orca Kayak Trips, a division of Coastal Spirits Expeditions and Lodge, offers you the opportunity to do just that. Check out what some well known people have said about our trips when we took them kayaking with orcas. Read on for more information on our orca kayak trips...

Our trips are different:
We operate the only camp site beside the world famous Orca reserve and rubbing beaches, located opposite of the Orca research station. Our Orca Camp offers the highest chance of kayaking with Orcas in the wild. Often killer whales approach our kayaks and the campsite.

Orca Sea Kayak Camp, trip highlights:

World class, very private orca watching campsite, beside the killer whale reserve.
Night paddling (for guests who like to participate) to watch spectacular phosphoresent algae. The ocean looks like the sky full of stars. Hear the whales breathing at night.
• Beach Sweat lodge (native versions of the sauna) and campfires in the evenings
• Beautiful fresh water stream beside the camp
• Interpretive rain forest walks from camp
• Visit of Orca research station (weather and ocean conditions permitting)
• Delicious meals and a million dollar view
• Outhouse and solar showers available
• Underwater microphones to listen to the songs of the whales.
• High Speed Catamaran transport Campbell River/Quadra Island- base camp
